According to the Renewable Energy Market Update Report, which includes the 2021-2022 outlook of the International Energy Agency (IEA), despite the disruptions in the energy chain in 2020 due to Covid-19, the largest annual increase in global energy capacity has occurred since 1999.

In addition, it was stated in the report that 50% of the renewable energy installed power commissioned in 2020 was realized in China.
